Preparation: Preparation from Thawed:
Before cooking either thaw scallops overnight in the refrigerator, or place scallops in a bowl of cold water an hour before using. Make sure to dry excess moisture from scallops before cooking.
Bake: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease or oil the bottom of a shallow baking pan or dish. Preheat the pan or dish. Lay the scallops in the pan or dish and brush the scallops liberally with melted butter or olive oil and place them in the oven. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until white in color and slightly firm.
