GROUPER - WILD

  • 13500

Description: You're going to love this grouper. Wild caught and sourced from the Gulf of Mexico. Red Grouper is a lean, moist fish with a distinctive yet mild flavor, large flakes and a firm texture. The Red Grouper has a slightly sweeter, milder flavor than the Black Grouper and is considered to be the better of the two. Grouper's flavor profile is like a cross between Bass and Halibut.

Flash Frozen within minutes after being caught at sea, the quality of these filets are second to none. They can be grilled, baked or pan-fried.

Packaging: 9-10 per box approximately 8-9oz ea individually vacuum packed.

Preparation: From frozen: Bake at 425 degrees for 22-25 minutes, or until fish is opaque and flakes w/ fork. Optionally dust with bread crumbs and/or parmesan cheese and brown under broiler.

This fish is also very good when battered and deep fried.

Better Than Restaurant Quality Grouper

These fillets are thick. They are perfection. You cannot get better Grouper than this. It’s very simple, why pay a restaurant 30$ or more for a thin fillet? Fire up a cast iron skillet, get some Masa Harina or Amarillo cornmeal for a crust and you’ve got yourself a meal you cannot buy at any price in this area. This is excellent fish! Mix Masa Amarillo with garlic powder and sprinkle on thawed, wet fish fillets. Fry in cast iron skillet with peanut oil until golden brown, flipping carefully only once using 2 spatulas. Sprinkle truffle salt on fillets as soon as you remove from skillet. This is my original recipe, it will make you a hero.

Best Grouper

I keep these in the freezer all the time. So easy to prepare with a brushing of olive oil and seasoning. Regularly purchase these to always have on hand. Taste as good as a seafood restaurant.

Easy to cook and a delicious fresh flavor!

These group filets have a great mild flavor. Very easy to cook! I put 2 tbsp of olive oil in a glass baking dish and popped it in the oven for 5 minutes, took it out, added the grouper, coating each side with the olive oil and then put it back in for 5-7 minutes. Turned out perfect!

Great Grouper!

This fish is delicious, very light and mild. The filets are large and cook easily in the toaster oven. Just wish they were individually shrink-wrapped to avoid crystals forming in freezer.- would have given them 5 stars if that was the case! All in all, a good quality fish for a good price. Try it!
